Nanowrimo Day 1

I got up at 5 AM to start my Nanowrimo novel. I got 279 words done so far. I was trying to be quiet and not wake up my boyfriend, but right as I was about to turn out the light and go back to bed he got up.  He didn't say I woke him up though. Darn this keyboard is noisy and our new house is tiny, so it's hard not to wake each other up. The moon is still in the sky. I had to kick the sleeping cat off the computer chair. He's decided it's his newest catnap spot. Then he wanted to sit on my lap, which was warm and cozy, but then I couldn't type.

After I get some more sleep hopefully I'll get to type more words of my novel and stay ahead of the daily word count. Wish me luck.

Nanowrimo in 2 days

I'm planning to do Nanowrimo this Nov. and also the daily blog roll, if I can open their site. I just moved to Lucerne Valley, CA and I have the worst Internet connection I've ever had. It's dial up and it's supposed to be 56 but it's running at about 26.

I started working on the outline of my new novel. Fortunately I signed up for Nanowrimo before I moved, so at least my hat is in the ring. I'm under the name Enchantress if you want to follow and be my buddy over there. I'm hoping the local library has DSL and I can catch up. I haven't gotten over to the library yet. I don't have a car and it's too far to walk so I need to wait until my boyfriend is in the mood to go over there. I need to get another car ASAP. This is not a good place to live without one. I live in the mojave desert. I'm not even sure there's a bus route out here in Lucerne.

This (and all my blogs) are Pinterest friendly.  That means, I'm cool with you pinning any of my photos to your boards on Pinterest. I did find out today by accident that my newest board link on Google lead to someone elses board. In other words, just because you pick a name, that doesn't mean someone else can't make a board with the very same name. That could be problematic in the future. For example suppose you named it after your Etsy shop Jane's Jewelry, and four other people also named their boards Jane's Jewelry. Confusion ensues. Banner Time

I'm busy updating all my blog banners. I hope you like this one. Before I didn't have my photo up there at all. It was rather nondescript.  Sometimes people I meet in real life recognize me from my blogs. Can you imagine that? It's usually flattering, unless they are haters. HA HA.
